That's right fans, K-USA bounced back with its second show in the US, this time from the Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass. Boy oh boy, this was a big one, fans. K-USA's two championships were both on the line, and the fans were treated to six action-packed matches. That's right, I said six, because the opener for the evening was a surprise even to me. So without further delay, here's the results.
K-USA #2 - WARRIOR SPIRIT DESTINY #1
Matthews Arena, Boston, Massachusetts
Attendance: 5,268
[SINGLES MATCH]
Dani Colston vs. Matilda "The Homeless Inbred"
We started things off with a previously unannounced surprise debut. Dani Colston is a 2nd generation wrestler trained by legend Corey Irons. And despite this being her official debut anywhere, she came well prepared with a well-rounded attack. Matilda was her usual sloppy self, always looking to bring weapons into play, but Dani would have none of it, keeping her in the ring most of the time, and grounding her with various attacks focusing on the legs. But in the end, it was a devastating running lifting spear transitioned into a uranage that won her the match.
WINNER: Dani Colston via pinfall after the Body Check.
Post-match, as Dani was celebrating her debut win, out came "Murder Machine" Myra Benedict and her protege "Blood Plague" Hitomi Akera. Myra seemed mildly impressed with Colston's win, as the two let her leave unscathed. But then as Matilda started to recover, Hitomi hit the ring and viciously attacked her, quickly opening up the Homeless Imbred. Akera then choked her out, at which time she and Benedict stood over her and announced themselves as the Kindred Blood Pact. "And we're looking for a couple more members."
[SINGLES MATCH]
Gaia "Bullhead" Brasher vs. "Black" Jayde Griffen
Brasher versus Griffen was a very hard fought, back and forth match between the two seasoned veterans. Being the heavier of the two, and considerably more experienced, Gaia took the early advantage, backing Jayde into a corner where the Bullhead started drilling her with heavy shots. Griffen didn't take that for very long though, as she soon turned the tides and gave Gaia a taste of her own medicine. The match soon turned into a matter of one-upmanship, as both women pulled out everything in their arsenals to put eachother away. At one point, Gaia pulled Griffen up for a TKO, but Jayde slipped out, and countered with the KOKORO Cutter, which got an immediate pop from the crowd. It wasn't enough to put Brasher away, but as Gaia got back to her feet, Jayde hit the Black Spiral (spinning Unprettier) for the win.
WINNER: "Black" Jayde Griffen via pinfall after the Black Spiral.
[TAG TEAM MATCH]
Sex & Violence vs. Madison Pierce & Azumi Tanaka
Despite the fact that this is the first time that both teams have worked together, Donavon and Kristian had the clear advantage in experience. Andrea started things off with Madison Pierce, and right away showed sexual interest in her, which Pierce wasn't tolerating. Still, a couple gropes and licks soon got the six footer unnerved, which opened her up to some easy attacks. Kristian was quite vicious too, as was her tag team partner. The two of them tagged in and out quickly, isolating the larger woman, leaving Azumi completely fresh on the apron. Madison held her own though, and had an especially violent exchange with Kiora, where Pierce opened her up with a falcon arrow onto a pane of glass proped on two chairs (that Kristian had previously brought out). And when Tanaka got the hot tag, she cleared house, nearly pinning Andrea with a heart punch. But Sex & Violence rallied back, and eventually hit a Kiora Claw/STOrgasm tag team move dubbed "The Second Coming", that put Tanaka away for the pin.
WINNERS: Sex & Violence via pinfall after The Second Coming..
Sora Kawaii then came out, and talked about how there was a time when she was much like her opponent. "But then I saw that I was doing so much wrong, and I fought to change, to turn my life around. And now, when I look at Myra Benedict, I see the thing I hate." She then vowed to rid K-USA of Benedict's Kindred Blood Pact, before it even got off the ground. Out came the "Murder Machine", and she was none too impressed with what Sora had to say. Myra actually revealed that she was going to try recruiting Kawaii, but now that was off the table. The two begin brawling, which officially marked the start of their match.
[SINGLES MATCH]
"Murder Machine" Myra Benedict vs. "Nightshade" Sora Kawaii
Right off the bat, Kawaii sent Benedict over the top rope to the floor. But as Sora followed, Myra was back on her feet The two went all out from there, quickly spilling into the crowd. And for the first few minutes, they went toe to toe, with neither woman gaining any advantage. One particular moment saw them go at eachother with vicious strikes, to the point where both were cutting eachother open with every shot. Benedict then got the upper hand with a chair shot, but then quickly abandoned it in favor of something much more violent - one of her boot knives. But Sora knocked it out of her hand before she could use it. The two fought up onto the stage, where Kawaii hit her backspin DDT off of it and through a couple of tables, but Myra refused to stay down for the count. Later as both returned to the ring, Benedict locked her in the Corruptor, but Sora wouldn't give up, and ultimately fought her way out of the hold. The match went back and forth like this for over twenty minutes, with both women pulling out all the stops. But in the end, it was a time limit draw that finished the match.
WINNER: Draw via thirty minute time limit.
Neither woman was willing to stop fighting after the bell though, and had to be pulled apart and separated in order for the show to continue. Suffice it to say, both women still did everything in their power to get at one another.
[SPIRIT OF K-USA SINGLES MATCH]
Moira Faith[c] vs. "La Onza" Mariana De Leon
"Slip In Sin" by Pulse Ultra cued up first, as the Spirit of K-USA Moira Faith came out to big pops from the crowd - many of which remember the new attitude she had back in DSW. She greeted them with a warm smile, but was then ambushed from behind by the challenger. "La Onza" Mariana De Leon was hell bent on taking Moira out right off the bat, sending her crashing into one guardrail and then another, before bringing the changed champion into the crowd. Faith took a great deal of punishment early on, outright refusing to retaliate while the match was outside the ring. And De Leon wasn't interested in making the fight fair by any means, as she very soon bloodied Moira with a nasty leaping tornado DDT onto the exposed concrete. She eventually lead Moira back toward the ring, mistakenly attempting an Irish whip against the apron, that Faith reversed - sending Mariana into the ring. And before "La Onza" could leap back out with one of her suicide dives, slide inside as well. And despite taking a few shots there, Faith soon turned the tables, pulling out all of her big moves, including rolling dragon screw legwhips that she transitioned into the Kurenai Kuracchi. De Leon fought desperately to get out of the hold, but Faith had it locked in too tight, and "La Onza" was forced to tap.
WINNER: Moira Faith via submission with the Kurenai Kuracchi.
"Sugar Blossom" Izumi Sato then came out, and vowed to win the Heart of K-USA, to make her family, fans, and all of KOKORO USA proud to have an honorable champion. She talked about the champion, Nina Grimsson, who she once considered a good friend and training partner. "But your actions will not go unnoticed. Vindication will be mine, but only when the Heart of K-USA is around my waste!"
[HEART OF K-USA SINGLES MATCH]
"Mockingbird" Nina Grimsson[c] vs. "Sugar Blossom" Izumi Sato
"Rain of Terror" by Kreator then cued up, and the Heart of K-USA title match was underway. Izumi tried to take the fight to Grimsson right off the bat, but the champion quickly overwhelmed her, busting her open with violent repeated headbutts, before launching Sato over the top rope to crash head-first into the guardrail. Nina quickly exited the ring, but didn't go for the pin just then, intent on causing as much damage as possible. She cleared out the entire front row, picking up every single chair to slam down on her challenger, before pulling Izumi out of the pile and drilling her with a motorcycle chain-assisted Demon Drop onto the chairs. Following that, she lead Sato into the crowd, and threw everything around her at the aspiring champion, including a standing spin kick to the head, sandwiching it and actually putting it through the front of a vending machine. Izumi tried her best to fight back, but Nina stopped her every time, leaving the Kyoto native covered in blood from head to toe. Grimsson eventually brought the fight back to the ring, but things only got worse from there. She could have pinned Sato at almost every time, but outright refused. And so it was nothing short of a massacre until the very end. Nina hit a Murderous Air Wave Drop off the top turnbuckle through two stacked beds of nails, glass shards, and razor wire, but didn't go for the pin. But it was repeated thumbtack-laced punches to the head that knocked Izumi out, causing the ref to call for the bell.
WINNER: "Mockingbird" Nina Grimsson via KO with punches.
Post-match, it was clear that Nina wasn't finished, as she locked on the Marine Throat Lock, adding insult to injury. But she was eventually pulled off by security, while EMTs tended to Sato. After coming to, and barely able to stand, she fell off a stretcher, and almost crawled as fast as she could towards her assailant, spearing her from behind as she left the arena. With the crowd going nuts, and despite barely being able to keep herself upright, Izumi rained down punch after punch on the champion, seemingly enraged. But as the adrenaline rush faded and exhaustion took over, Izumi was pulled away and the two women were separated as the show came to an end.
